Celebrate the Sunrise!
The longest day of sunlight evokes magical thoughts for many in the Northern Hemisphere. Nature is voluptuous as it begins to ripen toward harvest. Dancing all night long in filmy white gowns with flowers in your hair (and yes I am of the hippy generation) feels absolutely right now. Funny, thus begins the downward spiral into shorter days. Such a negative thought barely registers on our mental calendar. This day, no matter your Spiritual beliefs we celebrate midsummer days and nights. This day of long sunlight filtering through the magical stones of Stonehenge as it has for centuries on end reminds us that we must celebrate the sunrise not only today but every day.
As Nation’s start the progress of starting all over again during tough economic times we are made aware of the wonder of a new day with all its promise. Sunrise is emblematic of new beginnings and growth each and every day for one and all. Frequently, clients sit before a Tarot card reader seeking a way to fix the mess they find themself in. The suggestion to celebrate is often met with confused bewildered expression of face and voice. “What?” they ask seeing nothing in their dire situation to celebrate. Only when we celebrate can we find the new way. Only new thinking will enable us to leave the old mess behind. Grab that one little shining bit in your life and start celebrating the changes it will bring.
A little morning ritual for you: Stand outside at Sunrise: speak only of the blessings and good in your life now; ask for guidance to use these gifts well and wisely and for the greater good this day. Celebrate the sunrise as you start day this way.
